Mike Biskar and Jason McBride were absolutely filthy on the bump and Dave McEwen, fresh off an appearance at the Nat, drove in three as the Black Sox shut out the Gaolers in Game One.
Pitchers Jamie Smail, Jarad Beckett and Jamie Cessford were the King Cobras in this one and Mike Benn went 3 for 3 and drove in four as the Chinatown Cobras shut down the Isotopes
Julio Ubeda scored the winning run for the Isotopes on a wild pitch in the top of the eighth inning after the Spikers rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extras.
The Strathcona Stevedores, behind Daryl Sheepwash’s 3 for 3, three RBI performance, got up early and cruised to the win. Ted Phillips also knocked in four for the Steves.
